Aleza Zheng (born 1999, Shenyang, China) is an interdisciplinary artist working with oil, ink, linen, and silk. She uses the genre of auto-fiction to understand shared histories between the East and West, weaving current politics with fairytales, observations with narrative, and traditional mediums with contemporary subjects. Her practice presents the world through anthropomorphized objects, using empathy as a device to understand disorientation, humanity, and invite an re-enchantment of the world.
