Aleza Zheng (born 1999, Shenyang, China) is an interdisciplinary artist working with oil, ink, linen, and silk. Animism and mimetic imagination are central to her practice, which uses childhood as an ontological framework to decode narrated hierarchies and anthropocentric frameworks. Through acts of world-making, she proposes alternative ways of being in relation to other forms in the universe—beyond instrumental rationality and production. Her anthropomorphized objects and figures employ empathy as a means to navigate disorientation, explore humanity, and invite a re-enchantment of the present world.

Her work has been included in group exhibitions internationally, most recently at Frieze Seoul (2025) with Make Room x Apalazzo Gallery and Artesantander (2025) with Shazar Gallery in Spain.
